What we love making
Smooth. Creamy. Dreamy. Good, clean heaven in a bar of soap. Our cold-processed, handmade soaps are crafted in small batches using only the finest ingredients.
Rich. Delicious. The way eggs were meant to be. Our birds are fed nothing but the best soy-free organic feed, and are given fresh ground on our rotating pesticide-free pastures.
Fresh. Crisp. Healthy. Our microgreens are grown from all-organic seeds in our very own blend of worm castings and compost. Using organic methods, no pesticides, no chemicals, no kidding. These greens are available year-round.
Māori for “fat & round” these kunekune pigs are a small, domestic breed originating from New Zealand. But don’t let that fool you, these porcine pals are perfect for our farm, and “small” females can weigh between 100-175 pounds and males can grow to 250!
Large or wee, these piggies are sweet + docile, and absolutely love both belly rubs and chin scratches—the better if you can wiggle their wattles.
A miniature goat developed in the USA, Nigerian Dwarf Goats are derived from the West African Dwarf group of breeds, thus NIGERIAN DWARF. Does range 17-22.5 inches tall and bucks can grow up to 23.5 inches, and average adult goat weight is approximately 75 pounds. They are the only miniature dairy goat breed to be registered by the ADGA.
NDG milk ranks the highest in butterfat content, ranging from 6-10%, depending on diet and goat. Dreamy + creamy.
Because working cats are happy cats, and happy cats equal grateful farmers.
Since we moo-ved here in 2015, we’ve been crazy about our barn cat crew, now punching in at a pride of 6 strong. Click on the Barn Cat Project page to read about our ethos and bios for our friendly felines.
FOWL
We grow a range of barnyard mix, colorful egg-laying chickens, rare heritage breed Chocolate Turkeys, and India Blue Peafowl.
On rotating pasture, our birds are kept in purpose-built mobile aviaries, with free access to fresh pasture, forage, and dust-bathing during daylight hours, as well as the security of living behind electric fences at all times. Their natural forage is supplemented with soy-free, USDA certified organic feed.
Safe and happy birds means both healthy birds and delicious eggs.
Farm Dogs
We have two Great Danes and a Labradoodle — that means a lot of dog, and a lot of “pawsonality.” Talk to us about your pack!
Valentine Kratz Colonial Homestead
Although the original farmhouse was lost to a catastrophic fire, our home was rebuilt by the German settler Valentine Kratz in 1802. Bordered by the Perkiomen Creek, the farm is dotted with many antique barns, a root cellar, and the now-sealed historical Caledona copper mine. Watch as we fit our 21st century family into an 18th century home—it’s fun, I promise.
